What are you most looking forward to at Oslo Tech Show 2027?
Taking part in a trade fair means much more than that to us. Meeting the public – our future clients – and having a presence at the event allows us to engage with them face-to-face about the issues, challenges and problems they face in their day-to-day business operations.
The trade fair also allows us to identify trends and frequently requested needs so that we can adapt, whilst also assessing the competition to ensure we’re always improving. Odoo is becoming a benchmark in the world of ERP, but business leaders do not always realise what that means; giving a demonstration right in front of them helps us secure contracts quickly.
Many businesses use separate tools for sales, finance and operations. What changes when these processes are connected in one platform?
When your tools don’t talk to each other, you’re wasting countless hours on paperwork entry and chasing status updates.
Connecting sales, finance, and operations into one unified platform like Odoo transforms that daily friction into seamless teamwork.
(i.e. As soon as a deal closes, inventory updates instantly and the invoice is created automatically without anyone pushing extra buttons. It moves your entire company from constantly reacting to outdated reports to making decisions based on live, accurate data.)
Beyond these immediate efficiency gains, an integrated ecosystem introduces several strategic advantages:
Modular Scalability
You can start with core apps like Sales and Invoicing, then install Inventory or Manufacturing modules with a single click as your needs evolve, seamlessly expanding without disrupting existing workflows.
Cost Consolidation
Centralizing operations eliminates multiple third-party software subscriptions and the ongoing IT expense of maintaining complex API integrations between disjointed systems.
End-to-End Traceability
A single database provides a flawless audit trail, allowing you to track a specific product lot or component from the initial vendor purchase order all the way to the final customer invoice.
What’s one common misconception about implementing a new business system that you’d like to challenge?
The myth that switching software has to be a long, painful, and ridiculously expensive ordeal. Many leaders are traumatized by legacy ERP projects that took two years and blew through their budget. The truth is, if you adopt a modern modular system and stick to standard features for your core processes, you can easily go live rapidly.
When applying this to an Odoo implementation, several specific factors further challenge the traditional ERP nightmare:
Phased “Agile” Rollouts
Instead of a high-risk “big bang” launch where the entire company switches systems overnight, Odoo’s architecture allows you to deploy department by department. You can successfully migrate CRM and Sales in phase one, securing immediate user buy-in before tackling Accounting or Manufacturing.
Consumer-Grade User Experience
A major reason legacy implementations drag on is massive resistance to clunky interfaces. Odoo provides a modern, intuitive UI that looks and feels like everyday consumer apps, drastically reducing training time and minimizing change management friction.
Prototyping over PowerPoints
Because Odoo is so fast to configure, project managers can build working prototypes on day one. Teams can immediately test and interact with the software rather than spending weeks reviewing theoretical blueprints and wireframes.
